Avengers-Age-Of-Ultron-Trailer-Released-A-weakened-Ultron-James-Spader

Hello Schmoeville!

Please tell me that by now you have witnessed the awesomness that is The Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer! Because if you haven’t, you need to stop what you’re doing, right now and click this link immediately! Do not pass go, do not collect your $200! Just do it!

Okay, so now that you’ve done as I’ve asked (and if you’re anything like me, you couldn’t just watch it once, so you have now viewed it multiple times in a row!), we can get down to business!

With the official release of the first teaser trailer, all eyes have now officially turned their forcus to May 1, 2015 and the release of The Avengers: Age Of Ultron (and seriously, why not? That trailer is incedible!). Recently, James Spader, who plays the frightening artificial intelligence in the film, spoke with Total Film about his character:

There’s a humerous aspect to him, which is something that drew me in from the very first conversation I had with Joss. In many ways he’s a child, this character, because he’s a brand new being who’s just come to be. And yet, through artificial intelligence, he has an incredible capacity for knowledge. So he’s a very powerful, smart child. Ultron takes abrupt turns in scenes. Red [his character on NBC's The Blacklist] isn’t pyschopathic but Ultron is. Yes, he is psychopathic. He’s really batshit crazy!

Oh, Schmoeville, I was ecstatic when Marvel cast Spader as Ultron, as the guy can play bad like no one else. And from the looks of this trailer and Spader’s comments, it looks like it was a genius move for the studio. I thought that I was excited for this film before, but now that we’ve actually gotten a look at it (images and twitter updates and pics just aren’t the same as seeing the footage actually in motion!), my anticipation and expectations are through the roof! It needs to be May 1st, like now! Seriously, the wait is going to kill me!

The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Bettany, Chris Evans, Elizabeth Olsen, Mark Ruffalo, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader and is directed by Joss Whedon. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is set for release on May 1, 2015.

So, Schmoeville, what do you think? Do you like Spader’s comments? What are your thoughts on the character, now that you’ve seen the trailer? Is Marvel going to hit it out of the park with this one? Comment below and let’s talk about The Avengers: Age Of Ultron!
