Hey Schmoeville!
One last trailer has arrived for The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Well Marvel is calling it the “final trailer” but it is definitely not a full length trailer; it’s more of an extended TV spot. It was debuted by IMDb. We see much of the same stuff we have already seen, and up until the last few shots it’s really mostly the same footage from the last extended TV spot. Towards the end of the spot we do get some new stuff focussed around Black Widow and how big of an asset she is to the Avengers. We also see Cap being grabbed by the throat until Natasha comes in with his shield to help him out.

Many have been saying that Marvel might be going a bit over board with the footage this time around, but I don’t think they have yet. And it looks like they’re done since they said this was the final trailer. Well, I guess they could release some featurettes, but we’ll have to wait and see. And honestly, if you don’t want to watch anymore footage, then don’t. Marvel hasn’t gone over the top yet in my opinion, like Sony did for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. They showed us pretty much everything! Yikes. I think if Marvel decided to stop with the footage right here, it would be the perfect amount of released promotional footage.
Most of you guys reading this are probably huge movie fans, so you see and hear everything that comes out in regards to film. We as a movie site are here to give it to you. But, think of all of the people outside of the movie world that might catch one trailer in front of another movie they’re seeing or a billboard in Times Square or something like that. John and Jane Smith working on Wall St. might only run into a few of the many marketing materials that are put out by Marvel. It is sometimes weird to think of a world outside of the movie world we live in, but it very much exists and studios want to get as many people as they possibly can in the seats so they can makes the most amount of money as possible. (I just thought I’d touch on that a bit, and remind everyone that not everyone is immersed as we are).
