Hello Schmoeville!
Marvel’s approach these days seems to be, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! And I’m perfectly okay with that! On the heels of the news that Joe and Anthony Russo would in fact be taking on the directing duties for The Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Part II, now comes word that the studio is keeping things pretty much in house when it comes to writing the script.
According to BadAss Digest, Marvel is tasking the Captain America: Civil War scribes to write the ending to Phase 3 of their universe. Markus and McFeely, of course, are no strangers to the MCU, having already written the scripts for Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They also created Agent Carter for ABC.
I’ve got to say, Schmoeville, I like this news. Not only does it ensure fantastic continuity throughout Phase 3, Markus and McFeely are fantastic writers and work extremely well with the Russo brothers. Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is shaping up to be very, very interesting. I cannot wait to see what the studio has in store for us.
